    My deepest sympathies, Conch. And what a beautifully eloquent tribute. I thought I was the only one who used Latin anymore. I cannot imagine anyone ever being prepared to lose a parent, no matter whether or not it was expected. Take time for yourself, do something for yourself, and know that there are others thinking of you out here. Take care.

    Thank you. And mommapolitico, Latin was perfect, because my mom knew it, as well as 6 other languages, and because I majored in it. I know. My parents said the same thing.
